Title: Lane Closure Technician – Vancouver Island

Position Summary

Domcor Traffic Control International Inc. is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Lane Closure Technician with at least one year of experience for Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Duncan, Chemainus, Mill Bay, Victoria, Campbell River, and Parksville locations. As a Lane Closure Technicians (LCT), you will be responsible for maintaining safe traffic flow, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of workers and the public in construction zones and work areas. Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate strong decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Safely set up and tear down of worksites
  • Execute effective traffic management with the proper PPE.
  • Protecting your team and clients while safely directing motor/pedestrian traffic
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch team.
  • Directing other TCP’s on-site
  • Itemize truck contents.
  • Produce accurate & timely reporting.
  • Communicating clearly with drivers, crews on-site and fellow traffic control personnel.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of BC LCT experience.
  • Valid BCCSA TCP Ticket/Certification
  • Driver’s licence and clean abstract
  • Willingness to learn and excel.
  • Good work ethic
  • Physically capable of working long hours, standing for long period of time, Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • CSA approved Steel Toe Boots & Rain Gear

Schedule: Job Types: Part Time & Full-time Permanent (Times & Days may vary)

  • 4 to 6 hours daily shifts
  • 10 to 12 hours daily shifts
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends, Holiday’s & Emergency Evening Calls
