Position Summary:
Domcor Traffic Control International Inc. is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals for the position of Traffic Control Person in Nanaimo, Ladysmith, Duncan, Chemainus, Mill Bay, Victoria, Campbell River, and Parksville. As a Flagger/ Traffic Control Person (TCP), you will be responsible for maintaining safe traffic flow, providing excellent customer service, and adhering to safety protocols and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of workers and the public in construction zones and work areas. Responsibilities:
- Execute effective traffic management plans with the proper equipment.
- Protect the safety of the crew and the public by directing motor/pedestrian traffic.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team.
- Itemize truck contents.
- Produce accurate & timely reporting.
- Demonstrate strong decision making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid BCCSA Traffic Control Person Certification/Ticket
- Availability to work weekends and evenings
- Physically capable of working long hours, standing for long period of time, Working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- CSA approved Steel Toe Boots & Rain Gear
- Possess a professional and punctual demeanor.
- Experience working as a Traffic Control Professional is considered an asset.
Schedule: Job Types:Part Time & Full-time Permanent
- 4, 6 hours shift
- 10, 12 hours shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends & Holiday’s
